Uniqou is open to users who are 16 years of age or older. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. All collaboration on Uniqou is digital — we do not organize or facilitate any offline or in-person events.

3. Information We Collect

When you use Uniqou, we may collect:

• Account information: your name, username, email address, college, department, year, and profile photo.
• Profile content: your bio, skills, and collaboration posts.
• Messages: content you send to other users through our inbox system.
• Usage data: pages visited, actions taken, and device/browser information for analytics and improvement.

4. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account.
• To display your profile to other students on the platform.
• To enable messaging and connection features.
• To improve the platform based on usage patterns.
• To send important account-related communications.

5. What Is Never Made Public

Your email address is never displayed publicly on your profile or shown to other users. It is used only for account authentication and essential communications from Uniqou.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your information with third parties for advertising purposes. We use Supabase for secure data storage and authentication. We may disclose information if required by law.

7. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase infrastructure hosted in Southeast Asia (Singapore). We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, but no system is completely secure.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access and update your profile information at any time through settings.
• Delete your account by contacting us at hello@uniqou.in.
• Request a copy of your data by emailing us.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you logged in and maintain your session. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Uniqou after changes means you accept the updated policy.
